About us

We were born where leather goods are not an industry, but a culture.

Ubrique is not just a place where leather goods are made. It is a region where leather craftsmanship is part of the identity, the landscape, and everyday life.

It is passed down in workshops, families, and entire generations who have perfected a craft to the point of making it a global benchmark.

In Ubrique, the hands of artisans already work to perfection.
There was nothing to change there.

OUR HISTORY

Why did we had to create Marsot?

We created marsot after identifying a very specific reality:
although the craftsmanship in Ubrique is exceptional, the service, management, and communication are not always up to par.

The factories know how to produce. But they cannot always support brands in the way they need.

Not because of a lack of talent, but because of a lack of time, structure, and a common language.

We understood that Ubrique did not need to change what it does well.
It just needed order, vision, and a better way to connect with brands.

“We believe that tradition is not incompatible with innovation.
On the contrary: only by deeply understanding the craft can we improve how we work.”

– Respecting the artisan’s times and techniques

– Providing structure, planning, and clarity

– Facilitating the relationship between brands and workshops

– Guaranteeing quality, traceability, and control

Brands that want to manufacture in Ubrique often encounter the same obstacles:

The real problems with manufacturing in Ubrique

Access to manufacturers
The most common first problem

Difficulty finding available workshops that are suitable for the type of product and quantities. And when they do find them, priority is usually given to large, established customers.

Limited support and care
Factories are thinking about producing more and keeping up the pace in the workshop.

Workshops cannot always devote time to product development, design refinement, or raising quality to the level that a brand needs.

Communication and control barriers
It is not only the lingua franca

Differences in language, culture, and working methods lead to misunderstandings, errors, and insufficient quality control, especially when working remotely.

Disconnect between brand and factory
Two main actors with different needs.

Manufacturers think about producing as much as possible in the shortest time.
Brands think about campaigns, launches, image, and market timing.
There is no common language between these two worlds.

Respecting tradition does not mean standing still.

The bridge between brands and factories.

We created marsot to bridge that gap.

We strive to speak the language of brands while also deeply understanding how Ubrique workshops operate.

We translate needs, align expectations, and organize processes. We act as a connecting point that allows everything to flow.

We don’t change our artisans’ hands.
We protect them and support them with structure, planning, and control.

Manufacture with peace of mind

If you are thinking about manufacturing in Ubrique—or are already trying to do so—we speak your language, understand your needs, and know how to do it right.

We will take care of the rest.
